According to a recruitment notice for a senior producer from Sony, Sony has established a new AAA game studio in Los Angeles, USA, with the goal of developing a highly anticipated AAA console game.

The recruitment notice stated that Sony is looking for a senior producer stationed in the Los Angeles studio, who will be responsible for working with senior leaders, creative supervisors and studio directors to develop, maintain and execute project plans for the team. It also mentioned that this Los Angeles studio is a newly established AAA studio composed of experienced industry leaders and experienced game developers, with the goal of creating the next breakthrough AAA original IP.

The Los Angeles studio is likely to work with Jason Blundell, the director of the zombie mode in the Call of Duty series. In 2022, he left Deviation Games, and in May 2024, it was reported that Sony would work with Jason Blundell to create a new studio to develop an undisclosed new IP.
